Pillsbury is pleased to announce that Dr. Greg Huffman will succeed Dr. Robert Crane as President of the college. Dr. Crane will assume the position of President Emeritus, assisting Dr. Huffman in a variety of capacities.
Dr. Huffman and his wife Ruth come to Pillsbury from Roanoke, Virginia, where he was the pastor of Shenandoah Baptist Church. In addition to 40 years in the pastorate and Christian school administration, Dr. Huffman is a past president of the Georgia Association of Christian Schools and board member of the American Association of Christian Schools. He has served as adjunct professor at Northland Baptist Bible College and Piedmont College and Graduate School as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of Appalachian Bible College.
Dr. Huffman earned the Doctorate of Ministry degree from Bob Jones University in 1991. He has taught materials from his dissertation topic, “Pastoral Burnout in Fundamentalism” at numerous colleges including Bob Jones, Northland, Maranatha, Clearwater, and Pensacola. He also holds the Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Masters of Religious Education degrees.
The Huffmans have three sons, all serving in ministry. Mrs. Huffman holds a degree in Elementary Education and has work in progress towards a Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling. She is a frequent speaker at ladies retreats and seminars.
Speaking of his goal for the students of the college, Dr. Huffman says, “We seek to train young men and women to have a heart for God with a vision to love others and reach them with the Gospel. When others see real joy in our lives, they will become jealous of God’s blessings on our lives.”
